For the past few years I have been non-plussed at how the left justifies tearing down civilization, because once they succeed, what is the benefit to them? They may be in charge of the rubble pile but that hardly makes sense. Now I see it: There are too many stupid people as defined and self-destructiveness is part of their nature. Now what I wonder is how this stupidity has survived evolution. You'd think these folks would fail at everything and ultimately be shunned by the rest of us. But, no.

More like a massive propaganda campaign run by the oil industry & it's Conservative supporters. It's been very successful at delaying action on reducing emissions, & it's gaining followers every day.

This was written some time ago but thought I’d offer a counter argument to you.

I think there is a reasonable argument somewhere between “there is no human contribution to climate change” and “you should “trust” the IPCC because they are operating on the best understanding available”.

IPCC may be operating on the best available information and still make predictions that will ultimately turn out to be inaccurate is the fact of the matter. We understand a lot but likely still have much to learn. The data is too noisy to make near term predictions using our current climate models such that accuracy can’t be assessed based on actual near term climate change. These models are then used to predict 50 years in the future and it is uncertain how accurate they are.

Trust is a bad word to use and has no place in a discussion of science (see Argument from Authority). The best one can do is try to understand the Scientific Method and how it is being applied in the study of climate as it currently stands to get a sense for how the study will be improved over time (it will eventually lead to models with near term prediction capability)

I and majority of MGTOW do NOT hate all women but hate the UNEQUAL expectation when many women want equality but when BOTH feminist and "hi old fashioned I call you" group really angry if men refuse to practice old gender roles that women demand. they forgot that men also have right to reject gender expectation that disserve them/us. I personaly admit MGTOW not good but needed in bad situation to prevent worse situation.

One other item to add to your excellent list. The economic reliance on building cars for the countries GDP, the companies which make money on financing vehicles, the employment ramifications. These will get sorted out after the Great Dystopia to Star Trek economy transition, but we should be thinking of them now.
